U.S. Secretary of Agriculture, Ed Schafer

Secretary of Agriculture Ed Schafer is from North Dakota. He was appointed to the Secretary position by President George W. Bush in 2007.

Secretary Schafer is the head of the United States Department of Agriculture. The Department of Agriculture includes different organizations and some are: The United States Forest Service; The United States Food Safety & Inspections Service; The Food Stamp Program; The United States Cooperative State Research, Education, and Extension Program; The Farm Service Agency; and the Natural Resource Conservation Service to name a few.
